SOCCER
At El Marine Primary we play soccer throughout the year.
Our Gr.1-3 boys practise soccer during our compulsory sport period of 45 minutes.
Gr.1-3 practise Mondays - Thursdays.
Gr.4-7 practise Tuesdays and Thursdays after school from 14:30 - 15:30.
Please note that due to our small fields, we only allow soccer during breaks on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Learners must bring their own balls to play with during breaks on those days only.
Soccer is considered to be the world's most popular sport. In soccer there are two teams of eleven players. Soccer is played on a grass field with a goal at each end. The object of the game is to get the soccer ball into the opposing team's goal. The key to soccer is that, with the exception of the goalie, players cannot touch the ball with their hands, they can only kick, knee, or head the ball to advance it or score a goal.
